-least potent of halogenated agents (MAC= 6%)
-hypotension similar to halothane
-depresses myocardium
-cardiac output maintained by decreased TPR
-good muscle relaxant
-very pungent, cause upper airway irritation
-difficult induction and emergence, cant use with kids
-LEAST METABOLIZED OF HALOGENATED AGENTS (0.02%)
-not toxic to liver or kidney
-major advantages: speed controllability, rapid recovery
