Incidence of bacteriuria is 2-6%
Half of untreated women develop symptomatic UTI
25-30% develop acute pyelonephritis
Higher incidence of low birth weights and stillbirths
2x incidence in perinatal death (42/1k), mostly when UTI present w/in 15 days of delivery
