neutralize toxins (this is the basis for tetanus toxoid vaccine, diphtheria toxin vaccine)
neutralize bugs (Pneumococcus vaccines make us develop antibodies against the bug itself)
opsonization of bacteria
help complement poke a hole in bacteria
Flow cytometry
CD3 is a pan-T-cell antibody
CD19 is a pan-B-cell antibody
cells in the bottom left corner are neither T cells nor B cells
note that the FACS of an XLA patient has no B cells
