ST elevation in both; however, in acute pericarditis, it is concave and diffuse
reciprocal changes: in MI, there are T wave inversions in leads opposite the ones that show T wave elevations
in MI, ST elevation and T wave changes can occur simultaneously; in acute pericarditis, they do not occur simultaneously
