if T cell recognizes MHC class II, it binds
LFA-1bound to ICAM-1 undergoes conformational changes, increasing affinity and prolonging cell-cell contact
patients with leukocyte adhesion deficiency have a high white count because the cells are all floating in the bloodstream and are neither marginating nor living in peripheral tissues
they can’t make T helper cells very well because not many cytokines are being produced
remember the timing: this happened when the kid still had many of the mom’s antibodies on board
