  • atrioventricular canal (AV canal) 23%

  • atrial septal defect (ASD) 21%

  • patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) 14%

  • tetralogy of Fallot 5%


trisomy 13 and 18

  • there are a whole host of abnormalities

  • there is some overlap with trisomy 21

  • these cause abnormalities across organ systems, including the heart
