  • Anterior compartment – supplied by musculocutaneous nerve

    • Biceps – flexor and supinator, brachialis- main flexor, coracobrachialis- flex and adducts arm at shoulder joint

    • Bicipital aponeurosis – triangular membrane that runs from the biceps tendon across cubital fossa and merges with the deep fascia over the flexor muscles on the medial side of the forearm.

  • Posterior compartment – supplied by radial nerve

    • Triceps brachii – main extensor of arm

    • Anconeus- helps extend arm, and adducts ulna during pronation of forearm.
