- Heparin causes bleeding, thrombocytopenia, hypersensitivity, and transient hypercoagulability when discontinued.
- Warfarin causes bleeding, drug interactions, induces drug metabolizeing enzymes; some patients are resistant.
- Streptokinase causes bleeding by attacking fibrinogen and factors V and VII, and is immunogenic.
- Urokinase causes bleeding by attacking fibrinogen and factors V and VII, and is expensive.
