1950: Pyrimethamine = Daraprim®
1952: Primaquine
1955: Amodiaquine = Flavoquine®, Camoquine®
1969: Artemisinin (only in China)
1971: Sulphadoxine/pyrimethamine = Fansidar®
1986: Mefloquine = Lariam®
1987: Artemether and Artesunate (also outside China)
1988: Halofantrine = Halfan®
1992: Atovaquone (experimental)
1997: Etaquine – Tafenoquine (experimental)
1999: Co-artemether (artemether + lumefantrine)
1999: Atovaquone / proguanil = Malarone® commercialised
