Previous history of trauma. 80% occur in long bone (femur, tibia and spine)

Key radiological features
-
Only benign bone tumor known to cross the epiphyseal plate

Cortical ballooning or Blown-out appearance
-
Periostel buttressing at the edge of the lesion is characteristic.
