L-dopa: orthostatic hypotension, probably a vascular effect; tongue thrusting, dysphagia, dysguesia (altered taste), increased cardiac epi effect (although many texts will say to avoid epi for pts on L-dopa, this is not valid… we want good anesthesia to prevent a huge release of endogenous epi if pain occurs. Just don’t inject a couple of carps of 1:100,000 epi lidocaine into a blood vessel, and you’ll be ok.)

Selegiline: rarely, transient nausea

Anticholinergics: xerostomisa (severe), dysphagia, vagolytic effects
