Identification of stature from bones

on 23.1.08 with 0 comments

An approximate standing height of an individual can be estimated from the lengths of long bones by means of Pearson's formulae:

The length of the femur is about 25% of the height and the length of the humerus is about 18% of the height (+ 2.5 cm in living more than dead).
